For orders under $100, the cost for the protection is just 98 cents! For orders over $100, it is roughly 1-2% of the cart total (pre-discount). This is much cheaper and easier than any insurance that shipping providers offer! We highly encourage you to select this coverage to protect your Barn Chic items from loss, damage, or theft. With Route, even porch pirating issues and packages marked as delivered but not received are covered. This service is available on domestic  orders, and we highly recommend that you select the coverage.

If you have selected to purchase the Route coverage, when you complete your transaction you will receive an email from Route that provides instructions on how to file a claim (with one click!) should that be necessary.

Please note that there are filing timelines for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. (View current timelines here.) Claims for packages marked "delivered" yet not received and where there is no evidence of “porch piracy” must be made 5 days after “delivery date” but no longer than 15 days to ensure it was not misdelivered or easily found around the premises." If your item arrives damaged, unusable, or otherwise in an unacceptable condition, we invite you to file a claim right away. Please remember to include pictures of the item(s) and packaging. Claims for damaged item(s) can be filed right away. Damaged claims must be filed within 15 days from the date it was marked delivered.

An item is considered lost if it never is reported as Delivered.
