PROCESSING TIME FOR YOUR ORDER
We pride ourselves on our quick turnaround time; orders are processed within 1-3 business days, with many orders shipping same or next day. The exception to this timeline is a new collection launch or a special promotion like November & holiday sales; during the first week of a launch or in the case of a special promotion, the processing time may be up to 4 business days. We ship orders Monday through Friday.

HOLIDAY SHIPPING DEADLINES
The volume of shipments is expected to be higher than ever this holiday season. If you need an order by Christmas, we recommend that you order by Wednesday, December 16 for standard shipping and by Thursday, December 17 for Priority Mail USPS shipping (free with orders over $150, and $12 for orders $150 or less). There are options at checkout for UPS and Priority Mail Express, but with processing time we recommend those orders are placed by December 21. You are always welcome to text us at 512-710-1238 to see if we can accommodate your needs.
HOLIDAY & COVID-19 UPDATE: Most shipping carriers are experiencing extended service times; we apologize for any delay. The only guaranteed service is a pre-arranged Priority Mail Express delivery (1-2 business days after processing).
Standard domestic shipping is through USPS First Class and should arrive 2-5 business days after processing, while expedited shipping should arrive 2-3 business days after processing. (Sundays and holidays are not business days for USPS, and all other shipping providers do not count Saturday or Sunday as business days.)

$50.00 - $150.00 = FREE US STANDARD SHIPPING via USPS First Class Mail, estimated 2-5 shipping days after processing (note that the time frame is not guaranteed and free shipping excludes international shipping)
Over $150 = FREE US EXPEDITED SHIPPING via USPS Priority Mail or UPS ground (domestic orders only), delivered in 2-3 shipping days after processing though this timeframe is not guaranteed [observed holidays and Sundays are not shipping days]
EXPEDITED SHIPPING for orders under $150.01 = $12.00 for USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground (domestic orders only; see below for international shipping. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service.)
*Note - orders that select expedited shipping should arrive 2-3 days after shipping notification is sent; please allow 1-2 business days for processing, though we do prioritize shipping of expedited packages.

Domestic Tracking: All packages are shipped with tracking; in the rare case that a package is marked as delivered via the provided tracking service but not received, please first reach out to any neighbors and your mail carrier if possible. Sometimes the delivery scan happens before the package is actually delivered, so please give it through the end of the day. If, that evening, you still have not received your package, please reply to an order email and we can help guide you on how to initiate an investigation with the delivering post office. Barn Chic Boutique cannot be held responsible for packages marked as delivered but not received due to theft or postal office delivery errors. PLEASE PURCHASE ROUTE SHIPPING PROTECTION TO ENSURE YOUR ORDER IS COVERED (even when the package shows as delivered but is not in your hands!).
Shipping fees are non-refundable after the order is processed. Returns are at the customers' expense; a label can be emailed upon request (shipping fee will be deducted from return amount).
PROTECTING YOUR ORDER:
We are excited to offer our customers a very affordable and super simple way to protect shipments from our hands to yours (not just your doorstep!) through ROUTE. Route is a platform for customers to insure their order; at checkout, make sure the “Add shipping protection for $.XX” is selected. (This is underneath the subtotal and above the “update cart” button.)
For orders with a pre-discount total under $100, the cost for the protection is just 98 cents. For orders over $100, it is roughly 1-2.5% of the cart total (pre-discount). We highly encourage you to select this coverage to protect your Barn Chic items from loss, damage, or theft. With Route, even porch pirating issues and packages marked as delivered but not received are covered. Barn Chic Boutique is not responsible if you do not purchase Route coverage and your package is marked as delivered.
Once you complete your transaction, you will receive an email from Route that provides instructions on how to file a claim (with one click!); note that there are filing deadlines so please don't delay with filing a claim if needed. This service is available for both domestic and international orders.
If you purchased Route coverage and your package shows 'delivered' with tracking but you did not receive the package, you must file the claim with Route between days 5-15 from date of marked 'delivered' status in tracking. Orders that were not delivered but presumed to be lost in transit must file the claim within days 7-30 from the last tracking scan for domestic orders and days 20-30 for international orders.
Route is optional and encouraged for US orders and required for international orders.
Barn Chic Boutique is happy to provide international shipping! Our shipping platform provides an exact shipping quote based on the weight of your order and location of delivery, with options for shipping provider/time frame of delivery.
INTERNATIONAL SALES ARE FINAL, AND ROUTE SHIPPING PROTECTION IS REQUIRED (see above for more details on Route). If an international order is placed and Route Shipping Coverage is not purchased, an invoice will be sent for the price to cover the package (roughly 1-2.5% of the cart total pre-discounts). ROUTE COVERAGE IS REQUIRED TO PROTECT YOUR INTERNATIONAL ORDER.
Boxed items (cotton swaddles, newborn gown/hat sets, etc) may have packaging removed to fit within international shipping standards.
Please note that import duties and VAT charges may apply for deliveries outside of the United States and are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over these charges and cannot calculate what they might be as customs policies differ widely. The customer is responsible for all import duties/customs charges/taxes. Though lost packages are very unusual, refunds are not provided, so purchase at your own risk.
International deliveries may experience delays due to the impact of COVID-19 on acceptance and scheduling of flights from the US (timeframes are not guarantees during the pandemic). CUSTOMS SCHEDULES ARE NOT TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT FOR THE ESTIMATED LENGTH OF SHIPPING QUOTE.
Note that estimated delivery dates are windows and subject to change; these time frames may not include weekends, holidays, or time spent at customs. DHL business days are Monday-Friday.

Pre-authorization is required for returns and exchanges. Barn Chic Boutique items that meet all criteria below may be returned or exchanged if request is initiated within 14 days of purchase date.
Shipping: You are responsible for the shipping and handling charges of returning the item. (We can provide a label and deduct the shipping expense from your credit/refund amount.) Initial and return shipping charges are non-refundable.

LIMITS ON RETURNS/EXCHANGES:

* 14 DAYS. No returns or exchanges more than 14 days after date of purchase.
* Items must be in sellable condition; any item returned after tags/additional buttons have been removed or item has been washed, worn, stained, has animal hair, any odor, or is otherwise unable to be resold will not be eligible for a refund or exchange. Please carefully inspect your items before returning. Items that do not meet these requirements will be returned and refunds/credits will not be issued.
* No returns or exchanges on teething items, pacifiers, socks, tights, hair accessories, or swimwear.
* Pre-sale items are final sale.

* Gifts: If you received an item as a gift and would like to exchange, please provide us with the purchaser's full name and approximate date of purchase so that we can easily locate the receipt to help you exchange. The gift giver will not be notified. We are unable to offer exchanges in the event that purchaser's name cannot be found in our system and an order number is not available.
Shipping your return/exchange
Please EMAIL US to initiate the return and obtain the return authorization number and mailing address for the return shipment within 14 days of purchase. RETURNS SENT WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION MAY BE REFUSED. (Please allow up to 2 business days for us to reply with the return authorization.) Once the authorization is provided, you must ship the item within 5 days. You can either send your package back to us using the shipping method of your choice, or you can request a return label that will deduct the shipping expense from your refund.
After receiving your return, we will process your return within 3 business days. Items received that do not meet these policies will be returned with no credit or refund provided.

How much is shipping?
FREE standard US shipping for orders $50 and up!
US orders under $50.00 will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail (2-5 days shipping speed) for a flat $5.50 fee. If you would like us to send the order expedited via USPS Priority Mail or UPS, you can select expedited shipping for $12.00 (2-3 days delivery after processing).
US orders $50 and up receive free USPS First Class shipping. No redemption code necessary!
US orders over $150 receive FREE expedited shipping via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days) or UPS Ground.
For international orders, the shipping cost is viewable at checkout based on weight, package size, destination, and shipping speed. You will be able to see shipping price options before completing the order, so please proceed to enter shipping information to view options. Please note that if the shipping charge paid is inaccurate based on how the order is packaged, you may receive an invoice for the additional shipping expense. We partner with USPS Priority Express and UPS for this service at the customer’s expense. The cost is dependent on weight/size of package and shipping destination; the least expensive option is $26.
How can I protect my shipment? Can I purchase insurance?

Can I ship to an address other than my own?
Yes, and you can enter the recipient’s address directly on the order; it will ship straight to them with a gift receipt enclosed (no prices are on gift receipts or packing slips, and you can enter a custom message for the complimentary gift card!).
Why does my order tracking still say "Pre-Shipment?"
As of July 2020, we have seen a lack of tracking for some USPS orders; while this could mean that your order has not yet entered the postal system, it lately is more often reflective that the package has yet to be scanned on its journey to you. We have noticed that some packages never receive a scan (and hence tracking goes unupdated), while others are scanned the moment they enter the system. We apologize for the issue and this is out of our control.
Can I leave a message for a gift card? Where do I do that?
Absolutely! We love sending our beautiful baby items as gifts to celebrate the most special of occasions! When you are in the checkout page – in your cart view – there is a question that says IS THIS A GIFT? with additional text following and a large box outlined in black with the text “Add gift card message or special instructions here.” Note that if you make changes to the cart, you will need to add the message again.
Do you gift wrap?
We wrap every order in gift tissue, seal with a Barn Chic Boutique sticker, and enclose with a personalized note/gift message in a clear plastic mailer inside the shipping envelope/box so that every order has a gift presentation!
How do I know if my order went through?
You will receive an email confirmation of your order immediately after the order is placed. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact us.
Where is my order confirmation?
As soon as your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation to the email address you entered on your order. If for any reason you did not receive an email, please check your spam folder. If you can’t find an email from us, please email us to ensure that the correct address is on file for order confirmations and shipping updates.
How do I update or cancel an order?
Since we do our best to get your order processed and shipped as soon as possible, please text us at 512-710-1238 (preferable) and/or email us (email@example.com) within two hours of placing your order to make sure we accommodate your changes before your order is out the door and on its way to you or the gift recipient! Please note that all items from the SALE! Collection are final sale and we are not able to edit or cancel those orders. ALL PRE-SALE ORDERS ARE FINAL and cannot be canceled (or returned). Please note that transaction fees are not refundable (Afterpay and Sezzle transaction fees are 6% and Shopify/Amazon/PayPal fees are 3%).
Special Sales & Holiday Promotions
Discounted pricing during special promotions is offered for a limited time while supplies last and is not applicable on previous orders. There are lots of special sales that are only available to our customers and email/text subscribers, so be sure to sign up for our list – and please know we respect your inbox and only email with sales or big announcements. My discount code won't work. Help!
Please note that discount codes are not applicable during the first week of a new collection's launch period, or during pre-sales. This is per our retailer agreement with our vendors. Thank you for understanding.
The system only accepts one discount code per transaction. If you would like to use two different discount codes (for different products as we cannot stack codes), please complete two separate transitions and we will combine the orders for shipping and issue a shipping charge refund for one order.
If an item is marked down for a special promotion (holiday sales), additional discounts may not apply.
How do I initiate a return?
If for any reason you are not satisfied with an item you receive from Barn Chic Boutique, we will be happy to issue a return or exchange within 14 days of purchase, provided that the item is still in its original packaging, has tags attached, has not been worn or washed, and is within the limits of our return policy. Barn Chic Boutique items must be returned with their original tags/replacement buttons attached and in secure packaging. Original shipping charges and transaction fees are non-refundable. (Transaction fees are not removed should you choose to take store credit.)

Note that international orders, sale items, and boxed items are final sale. If a discount code greater than 10% is used on non-sale items, those items are eligible for store credit only.
Do I have to pay for the return shipping?
Yes, the customer is responsible for the return shipping expense. We can provide you with a link for a label that you can print out and affix to your package; the cost of the shipping is determined by package weight and size, and this cost will be deducted from your return refund. Exchange shipping is free both directions.
Can I return or exchange items that were bought on sale?
All marked down items and items listed in the SALE! collection when purchased are final sale. Winter holiday items are not returnable after Thanksgiving. Items purchased with codes greater than a 10% discount are only eligible for exchange or store credit. Pre-sale items are final sale.
How long does it take to process my return?
Once your return shipment is received, your return will be processed within 2 business days (however, it may take 2-3 weeks for your refund to appear on your statement). You will receive an email notifying you that the refund was processed (less transaction fees and return shipping fees).
